Horizon Easel
The sienna horizon easel is a reinvention of an old classic. Designed with ergonomics and ease of use in mind, you will find the Horizon easel has everything you need for great painting.
The horizon easel is ¾ of the size of a standard French easel. Its smaller size is less bulky yet spacious enough for all your painting supplies.
The horizon easel lid & canvas holder sits in the rear of the easel when in the open position. This allows easy access to the storage area and provides a stable work surface when painting. The easel is also much more stable with the weight distributed over the entire easel.
The horizon easel was designed so almost everything you need can be carried within the easel.
A folding palette box is included with the easel. This palette sits securely across the easel and has three mixing areas for oil or acrylics. When you are done for the day simply fold up the palette and off you go.
A stainless solvent container is also included with the Horizon easel. It sits in a dedicated space in the back of the easel for traveling. There is also a dedicated spot in the front of the easel when painting. Your solvent container will always be conveniently located with no fear of spillage.
The canvas holder of the horizon easel is easy to adjust with large comfortable star knobs. There are beveled rubber bumpers to firmly grip stretched canvas. And special metal clips to hold canvas panels.

Ergonomic Star Knobs
All the adjustments of the canvas holder, lid angle, and legs are controlled with easy to adjust plastic star knobs. Far superior to the common wing nuts found in many plein air easels the star knobs are easy to grip and allow tighter holding power.
Lid Design
The unique lid design of the horizon easel keeps the weight evenly distributed over the middle of the easel and allows easy access to all your supplies and work area. The lid can be adjusted to any angle, including totally flat.
Storage Compartment
The large storage compartment can easily hold 12 tubes of paint. The brush compartment hold's a large selection of brushes and palette knives. There is also a compartment in the rear of the easel next to the solvent can.
Canvas Holder
The horizon canvas holder is easy to adjust up and down. Rubber bumpers securely hold stretched canvas and allow painting out to the edge. The metal panel clips keep the panel firmly in place and allow easy access to the edge of the panel.
Palette Box
A special palette box is included with the horizon easel. It contains 3 clear birch palettes for mixing oils & acrylics. The palette straddles the easel and is kept in place with special notches on the bottom of the palette box.
There are built in stops on the bottom of the palette box. You can slide the palette over the front edge of the easel to gain access to paints and brushes when setting up your palette for painting.
Brush holes are located on both sides of the open palette. Keep all your wet brushes neatly organized while painting. When you are done for the day just close up the palette box for clean up at home.
Solvent Can
A stainless solvent can is included with the horizon easel. It is carried inside the easel when traveling and has a dedicated spot in front of the easel when painting. You never have to worry about where to put your solvent can again.
Paper Towel Holder
A handy paper towel holder is also included with the horizon easel. Keep your standard roll of paper towels within easy reach on the front of the easel.
